Kadoga is officially entering its Initial Launch Phase here in Victoria, BC — an exciting first step in building a trusted, community-driven way to exchange pet care locally.
This marks the very beginning of Kadoga in Canada: a small, intentional group of early members coming together to help shape a supportive, neighbour-first pet-sitting community.
Rather than opening widely right away, this initial phase allows us to grow thoughtfully — bringing members in gradually, testing the experience, and strengthening trust before expanding further across the city.
Why Kadoga matters to me
My connection to Kadoga is personal. Over the past year, I experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to find reliable, affordable pet care.
While I was out of the country for surgery and later recovering at home, coordinating care for our dog became both stressful and expensive. I realized how many pet owners face the same challenge, whether due to travel, health, work schedules, or life simply getting complicated.
When Aaron started talking about the idea of Kadoga, I immediately saw the need for it — a way for neighbours to support one another, build trust, and exchange pet care without the pressure and cost of traditional services. That’s why I’m so excited to bring Kadoga to Victoria.
What this means for new members
During the Initial Launch Phase, you can now:
Sign up and create your Kadoga profile — completely free
Join the first group of Victoria pet owners helping establish the foundation of the community
Once enough member profiles are live, we’ll open access to the Kadoga Member Area, where you’ll be able to:
Request and offer pet sits
Explore member profiles
Earn and spend Kadoga Points
Build your Trusted Network
Kadoga will remain completely free during this early stage. Once pet sits are happening consistently within the community, we’ll introduce membership pricing. At that point, the first 50 paying members will have the opportunity to lock in the $59 CAD per year Founding Member rate for life.
